User Vision
User Vision is a user experience research consultancy that specialises in researching and improving the user experience of MHEG interactive TV interfaces, among other digital platforms. Our Interactive Lounge is specially designed to research the usability of iTV interfaces, whether in prototype form or through live broadcast, in a comfortable, living room-style environment. The area has been specially designed to allow multiple views of the user's interaction to be seen from the adjacent observation room and recorded to DVD, including 2 views of the room, the TV screen, a close up view of the remote control usage through a gooseneck camera, and even eye tracking of the user viewing the screen. Through providing an area for the research of user interaction with MHEG products, User Vision is supporting the creating MHEG products that are highly usable and therefore more likely to be accepted by the end users and successful on the market
One of the main commercial benefits of MHEG-5 is its complete cost effectiveness in delivering high levels of TV interactivity, allowing operators to offer a whole host of compelling new revenue generating services using genuine open standards technology. This keeps both deployment and running costs low. The scalability and flexibility of MHEG-5 means that its capabilities are constantly expanding and evolving to meet ever changing consumer demands, and Latens will be aligning itself to technology that has already been proven in the market.
